This single-estate, organic, honey is collected from Cretan wild thyme, sage, mountain tea (Sideritis Syriaca), Cretan ebony (ebenus cretica). The unique mountainous areas of the island of Crete are re-known for the diversity of rare wild flora and its microclimate due to high altitude and moderate island climate. Harvested in the Spring, our honey is traditionally extracted to ensure that all the natural characteristics and nutritional benefits stay intact. With a full body, light color and high nutritional value it is a true wellness gift and an integral part of the healthy Mediterranean diet. We love honey the classic Greek way, atop some Greek yogurt with walnuts. We enjoy it spread on morning toast or pancakes and crepes. We use it as a healthier sweetener to coffee, tea and desserts.
