We are thrilled to bring to the US this award-winning, limited edition of an age-old traditional preserve. The Rose Petal Spoon Sweet is handmade only once a year, in June, with rose petals from the Greek Magiatiko variety growing onthe Greek island of Chios. These roses are so fragrant that they are the natural choice to make a dessert from. The petals are picked in the early morning, before the summer heat strikes, and delicately cleaned before quickly preserving in a simple all-natural syrup of sugar, water, and lemon juice. Importantly, there are no preservatives, additives, artificial flavors nor colorants.
We love this rare Spoon Sweet on its own so that we can indulge in its unique, delicate taste and texture. It's also delicious as a topping on rich, artisanal vanilla ice cream or panna cotta or with your scones, tarts or crepes. Mix it in your chia pudding or your morning oatmeal, toast or bagel or top crepes, waffles, pancakes and muffins.And, of course, you can even enjoy it the traditional Greek way, as a spoonful of sweet luxury with your afternoon coffee or tea.
